Blogs are stupid.

Blogs are pretty stupid. Actually, most blogs seem to be stupid, including this one. I think the culprit is that a lot of people just aren't that interesting in textual format -- it's much nicer and more interesting to look at someone while they are talking inanely about this or that. At least when the person is in front of you you can interrupt them and have a truly spontaneous dialogue, or maybe just keep them from talking by kissing them.

On a side note, I hate our fucking government. What a bunch of narcissistic fucks. They actually think it's ok to send thousands of innocent people to die in order to kill thousands of other innocent people for some abstract agenda based around their own ego and power.

I was reading an article in the New Yorker recently about Einstein and Godel and it reminded me of the hope and optimism that humanity had back before WWI, and then again after WWII. We thought that we could form organizations to keep governments from selfishly pursuing power at the cost of innocent lives. We grandly created the UN, and human rights organizations sprung up throughout the western world. We were going to make it impossible for all of those OTHER countries to commit atrocities any more. Germany and Japan were no longer aloud to have an offensive military, only defensive. We wrote their constitutions to not allow them any act of aggression, created democracies in those countries that would insure that totalitarianism would not rule.

We did this to them, but were unwilling to believe that we would ever need to protect ourselves from our own government in the same way. So, we have seen our government, the good ol' red while and blue, commit mass atrocities all around the world. Cuba, Haiti, Guatemala, Iraq (twice), Iran, Afghanistan, Columbia, Vietnam, etc. All the while supporting our troops and god blessing them for keeping us americans free from the tyrannies of the world. Anybody notice that these countries have been 3rd world nations, not even big enough to run their OWN countries well? The idea that we've ever been threatened by any of them would be laughable if one didn't think about the hundreds of thousands of people who have died because of that idiotic idea.

The rulers of this (great?) country are criminals, and they will most likely never see the inside of a prison cell because they just happen to be the criminals that write the laws.

Stupid, stupid war.

Why is it illegal to walk up to a stranger and shoot them, yet legal to fly over a stranger and drop a bomb on them?

It should be illegal to initiate a sequence of events that will knowingly lead to the death innocent people. If there is a claim that there is an imminent threat, it should have to be proven in its entirety, and if it turns out otherwise the leaders responsible should be held accountable for their misjudgment.
